Albert Anderson, 84 of 727 Dutch Road, Suffolk died Tuesday, January 27, 2009 in Courtland Health Care Center, Courtland, VA. He was a native of Mt. Laurel Township in New Jersey and the son of the late Prince Albert and Melzena May Anderson. He was also predeceased by his son, Joey Anderson and his brother Smith Anderson.

Mr. Anderson was a member of Laurel Hill United Christian Church.

He leaves to cherish his memories one daughter, Gerlyn Anderson of Baltimore, MD; four sons, Robert Williams (Clara) of Suffolk, Albert Anderson, Jr., Tommy Anderson both of Baltimore, MD and Michael Anderson of Raleigh, NC; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren; three sisters, Arzulia O’Neal of Sicklerville, NJ, Olivia Williams (James) of Suffolk and Claudia Wright of Portsmouth; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held 12:00 noon, Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Laurel Hill United Christian Church with Rev. Carl Sweat officiating. Interment will be at Laurel Hill United Christian Church Cemetery. Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. is handling the arrangements.
