RICHMOND - Annie J. Pruden of the 5300 block of Marion Street, Richmond, passed away December 27, 2007 at Henrico Doctors Hospital. A native of Gates, North Carolina, she was daughter of the late Walter and Katie Ralph Jenkins, and the widow of Seth Pruden, Sr.

She was retired from domestic work. She was a member of Westwood Baptist Church of Richmond, where she was a member of the Twilight Club and the Missionary Circle.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her son, Seth Pruden, Jr. (Robin) of Richmond; her sister, Gladys Rodgers of Suffolk; sister-in-law, Willie Mae Jenkins of Suffolk; one grandchild; and nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Homegoing service will be held at 12:00 noon, January 1, 2008 at New Mount Joy Food For Living Ministries, 307 County Street, Suffolk, officiated by Bishop William P. Wiggins. Interment will be in the New Middle Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery, Gates, NC. The family will be at 619 Chisholm Lane, Suffolk. Crocker Funeral Home, Suffolk, is handling arrangements.
