SUFFOLK - Alvie Lee Hollomon, 77, of 207 North Fourth Street, Suffolk, passed away December 23, 2008 at Autumn Care of Suffolk. He was a native of Isle of Wight County and son of the late James and Lettie Mae Hollomon. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Louise Curtis and a son, Willie Hollomon.

He was a former member of Poplar Run Baptist Church.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Annie L. Hollomon; one daughter, Alberta Thompson (Anthony) of Chesapeake; three sons, Alvie Lee Hollomon, Jr. and Frankie Lee Hollomon, both of Suffolk and Charlie Lee Hollomon of Chesapeake; one brother, Ruby Hollomon of Suffolk; eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 29, 2008 at Rising St. James Pentecostal Holiness Church, officiated by Bishop Dwight Whitfield. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
