ANNIE MARIE GOODMAN 
 
 

SUFFOLK - Annie Marie Goodman, 65, of the 1800 block of East Washington Street, Suffolk, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2009. She was a native of Nansemond County and daughter of the late Smith Banks and Mary Elizabeth Faulk. She was also preceded in death by one son, Corey Antwan Goodman.    

Mrs. Goodman attended the Isle of Wight County Public Schools and was employed as a Mold Prep Operator at Howmet in Hampton. She was an active and dedicated member of New First Baptist Church, Hosier Road in Suffolk where she was a member of the Sanctuary Choir, the NFB Fellowship, Usher Board, Hospitality Committee and was Church Clerk, Administrative Assistant and Historian of the Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory: one son, James Predell Goodman (Voncier) of Richmond; four grandchildren; godsons, Shaun Rhodes and Michael Worrell; a special aunt, Gladys Faulk of Suffolk; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A service to celebrate her life and homegoing will be held at 12:00 noon Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at New First Baptist Church, 1105 Hosier Road, Suffolk, officiated by the pastor, theRev. Dr. Lemuel Greene. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Crocker Funeral Home from 6:00!-8:00 p.m. Tuesday and at other times at the home of Mrs. Gladys Faulk, 1989 White Marsh Road, Suffolk.
