BETTY ANN HALL 

 

SUFFOLK - Betty Ann Hall, 58, of 1114 Bethlehem Street, Suffolk, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at Sentara Obici Hospital. A native of Colerain, North Carolina, she was born to the late Robert Pete Bunch and Lucille Speller. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Sherry Riddick and Dorothy Jean Bunch.

She attended the Bertie County, NC schools and retired in 1997 after 21 years as a Machine Operator for Planters Peanuts. She was a member of New Mount Joy Food for Living where she served with the Nurses’ unit and Pastor Pool Pit Nurse. She was also a member of the Hospitality Ministry, Choir, and Voices of Inspiration.

She leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter, Towana Bell Ruffin (Ronnie); one son, Curtis Eugene Rouse, Sr. (Leticia); seven sisters, Janie Carver, Brenda Cradle (Carmelo), Alice Sutton, Charitta Riddick, Lisa Harris (Bruce), Mary Bunch Vinson (Terry), and Doris Bunch Washington; five brothers, Spencer Bunch Jean), Darrell Riddick (Nadine), Oliver Riddick (Gloria), Michael Riddick, and Camecies Mayfield (Dora); goddaughter, Vinetta Davis; three grandchildren, Chanda, Curtis, Jr., and DeMarcus; one aunt, Nora Watford; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Homegoing Services will be held Monday, March 24, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in New Mount Joy Food for Living, 307 County Street, Suffolk, by Bishop William P. Wiggins. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. The family will be at 103 Pippin Drive (Applewood Farms). Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
