Bernard Calvin Williams, Sr., 53 of 209 North Capital Street, Suffolk died Thursday, October 22, 2009 at Sentara Nursing Center in Norfolk, VA. He was a native of Suffolk and the son of the late Haywood Williams, Sr. and Ola M. Jenning Williams. He also was predeceased by his sister, Cynthia D. Williams.

He was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School. He retired as a clerk for the U.S. Army CE Company.

He leaves to cherish his memory three daughters, Brenda Williams of Franklinton, NC, Audrey E. Darden of Portsmouth, VA and Carae Pierce of Chesapeake, VA; one son, Bernard C. Williams, Jr. of Norfolk, VA; one sister, Eula Mae Williams of Suffolk; three brothers, Langley Williams (Sherry) of Newport News, VA, Haywood Williams, Jr. (Cheryl) of Suffolk and Michael A. Williams of Portsmouth, VA; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A graveside service will be held 12:00 noon, Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. is handling the arrangements.
