SUFFOLK – Bertha Lee McCray of 713 Nixon Drive, Suffolk, entered in to eternal rest on July 18, 2008. She was a native of Nansemond County and was retired from Vitex Label Company. She was the daughter of the late Olivia Scott and the widow of William McCray, Sr.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Mary M. Belfield (Willie) of Suffolk and Emma J. Beale (Marshall) of Brooklyn, NY; one son, William McCray, Jr. (Janet) of Smithfield; one brother, George Baker of Brooklyn, NY; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at Crocker Funeral Home, officiated by Bishop Madison G. Copeland. Interment will be at Little Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
