SUFFOLK —— Blanche Randall, 91, of the 6800 block of Crittenden Road, Suffolk, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was a native of Nansemond County and was daughter of the late Wesley and Lottie Wilson Randall. She was also preceded in death by Susie Mae Arnold.
Ms. Randall was retired from Planters Peanut Company after 45 years of service. She was a faithful member of Diamond Grove Baptist Church where she sang in the Senior Choir. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star #3066.
Her loving and devoted survivors include one daughter, Helen Hardy of Suffolk, and nine grandchildren. She took on the extended role of mother and raised Leo, Sylvia, Jerome, and Stacy; and also took in and raised Darnell. She will also be remembered by four other grandchildren, Freda, Angela, Shonda, and Ryan; fifteen great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of nieces, including a devoted niece, Marie Harris, and nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, February 10, 2008 at Diamond Grove Baptist Church, 6890 Crittenden Road and will be conducted by Dr. Calvin A. Lillard, Pastor. Interment will be in the Nansemond-Suffolk Cemetery. The family will be at the home of her daughter, Helen Hardy, 201 Sparrow Road, Suffolk. Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
