SUFFOLK — Celestine "Freda" Annette Edwards, 43, of 1016 COGIC Square, Suffolk, passed away July 20, 2008. She was a native of Nansemond County and a 1982 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School. She was employed by the Suffolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Keyon Daughtrey and Breyon Daughtrey of Suffolk; her parents, Earnest Edwards, Jr. of Baltimore, MD and Christine Edwards of Suffolk; two sisters, Patricia Edwards and Angela Hillard (Monte) of Suffolk; two brothers, Earnest Edwards, III (Terry) and Steven Edwards of Suffolk; two grandchildren, Keyonna Daughtrey and Teyonna Daughtrey; two godchildren, Kayla Barnes and Brandon ""Beanie"" Williams; four aunts, Marie Edwards of Suffolk, Paulette Jackson of Williamston, NC, Earlene Bynum (Richard) of Philadelphia, PA, and Jeanette Edwards of Reno, NV; three uncles, John T. Edwards (Margaret) of Suffolk, Haywood Edwards (Renail) of Conn., and Clifton Edwards of Suffolk; a devoted friend, Logan Dewer of Suffolk; and a host of nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews, cousins, and several very devoted friends.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2008 at Tabernacle Christian Church and will be conducted by Elder Sylvester Silver. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Crocker Funeral Home Thursday from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. and will be at the home of Christine Edwards, 903 McKinley Avenue, Suffolk.
