IVOR - Calvin C. Holloman, Jr., 47, of 36032 Atlantic Avenue, Ivor, passed away on November 28, 2008 at Sentara Obici Hospital, Suffolk. He was born in Southampton County and was the son of Virginia Lee Holloman and the late Calvin Holloman, Sr. and was also preceded in death by a sister, Gwendolyn Holloman.
Calvin attended Southampton High School and was employed by Gwaltney of Smithfield.
He leaves to cherish is memory, one daughter, Lakisha Whitney of Ivor; his mother, Virginia Lee Holloman of Ivor; two grandchildren, Tyesha Brown and Travion Gray; three sisters, Barbara Holloman of Newport News, Juanita Holloman of Ivor and Jacqueline Warren of Smithfield; three brothers, Benjamin Holloman and Larry Holloman (Mary) of Ivor and Gregory Holloman of Waverly; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at Gilfield Baptist Church, 9040 Doles Road, Ivor, officiated by the Rev. Glenn Lyttle. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
