SUFFOLK - Charles "Beasley" Davis O'Neal, Sr., 84, passed away March 24, 2009 at Sentara Obici Hospital. A native of Portsmouth, he was the widower of Ernestine O'Neal and son of the late Fred O'Neal and Halle Williams.

He retired from the Naval Air Station, Norfolk.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Charlotte O'Neal-Ayeni of Denver, CO; his son, Charles Davis O'Neal, Jr. of Portsmouth; a grandson, Kambiz Ayeni of Long Beach, CA; a great grandson, Skyler M. Hines and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 3, 2009 at Crocker Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Viola Parker.
