WAKEFIELD - Clarence D. Parker of 111 Johnson Avenue, Wakefield, passed away December 30, 2008 at his residence. A native of Sussex County, he was son of the late Susie Rose Parker and Ernest Charity.

Mr. Parker was a retired Truck Driver for Webb Transfer Company. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Wakefield.

He leaves to treasure his memory, his daughters, Marion P. Stith (Carroll) of Wakefield, Stephanie Delk (Wallace) of Chesterfield, Monica Parker of Griffin, GA, Jacqueline Hill (Reginial) of Wakefield, Lula Sills (George) of Newport News, and Sandra Neal-Ifill of Bronx, NY; one sister, Clara Stringfield of Wakefield; a devoted friend, Diane Savage; 18 grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 12:00 noon Monday, January 5, 2009 at First Baptist Church, 217 South County Drive, Wakefield, officiated by the Rev. Bobby Ricks, Sr. Interment will be in the Parker-Charity Cemetery. The family will be at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Marion P. and Carroll Stith, 609 Higgins Street, Wakefield. Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
