SUFFOLK - Cora R. Holland, 89, of 2521 Milum Lane, Suffolk, entered into eternal rest and peace on February 20, 2008 in Sentara Obici Hospital. A native of Seaboard, NC, she was daughter of the late James and Babe Goode Rodgers and the widow of Ezekiel Holland.

She was retired from Gwaltney Packing Company. She was a member of The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith, Portsmouth where she was the church Pianist and Choir Director, and was a member of the Missionary Board and Supervisors of Sisters. She had also been honored as Mother of the Church.

She leaves treasured and lasting memories to her sisters, Vivian Ridley and Louise Eure of Suffolk; her devoted niece, Joyce Hubbard; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A service will be held at 12:00 noon Monday, February 25, 2008, at the graveside in Meadowbrook Memorial Garden, officiated by Bishop Roosevelt Townsend. Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
