SUFFOLK - Clyde R. Williams, Jr., 45, of 829 Kilby Avenue, Suffolk, slipped into eternal rest after a brief illness. A native of Chesapeake, he was the son of Gwendolyn Perry of Suffolk and Clyde R. Williams, Sr. of Chesapeake. Clyde was a 1981 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School and was employed by Gwaltney of Smithfield.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a loving and devoted wife, Gwendolyn D. Williams; one son, Clyde R. Williams, III of Suffolk; one stepdaughter, Latoya Lassiter (Daniel) and one granddaughter, Kamryn Lassiter, both of East Lansdowne, PA; two sisters, Debra L. Williams and Trevonne P. Williams, both of Suffolk; three brothers, Brian and Benjamin Williams of Maryland and Rudy Godfrey of Chesapeake; father and mother-in-law, George and Margaret Young of Suffolk; a brother-in-law, George Young, Jr. (Barbara) of Suffolk; two sisters-in-law, Loretta Young of Capitol Heights, MD and Kelly Godfrey of Chesapeake. He will also be sadly missed by his aunts, uncles, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2007 at Saint Paul RZUA Church by Minister Reginald Goodman and Dr. Edward P. Foreman. Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
