Desso Montgomery Jr., 52, of 423 Wilson St., Suffolk, died Monday, Sept. 21, 2009 at his residence. He was a native of Nansemond County and the son of the late Desso Montgomery Sr. and Lizzie Brown Montgomery. He was also predeceased by two sisters, Bernice M. Geiger and Betty A. Montgomery.

He was a member of the John F. Kennedy High School class of 1976.

He leaves to cherish his memory four sisters, Edna M. Montgomery, Barbara M. Thorpe, Brenda A. Montgomery, all of Suffolk, and Janice M. Jennings (Vernon), of Chesapeake, Va.; one brother, Thomas L. Montgomery (Betty), of Suffolk; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, 2009 at Crocker Funeral Home Chapel officiated by the Rev. George Smith. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. The family will be at 622 Spruce St., Suffolk. Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. is handling the arrangements.
