SUFFOLK – Edna H. Green, 92, of the 6800 block of Crittenden Road, Suffolk, passed away August 27, 2008 at Bon Secours DePaul Hospital, Norfolk. A native of Nansemond County, she was the daughter of the late Ned and Sarah Bundy Hicks and the widow of Johnnie Green.

Mrs. Green was retired from the Inter Costal Steel Company. She was a faithful and the second oldest member of Diamond Grove Baptist Church and an outstanding member of the Senior Choir.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Linda Scott of Norfolk; stepdaughter, Adela Wyatt of Suffolk; grandchildren, James Scott, III of Norfolk and Tyrone Green of New York, NY; devoted nieces, Bernadett Boone of Suffolk and Ann Thomas of Portsmouth; devoted great nephew, Pierre Hicks of Georgia; and other relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, August 31, 2008 at Diamond Grove Baptist Church 6890 Crittenden Road, officiated by the Rev. Ronald Goodwin. Interment will be in Christian Home Baptist Church, Windsor. The family will receive friends at Crocker Funeral Home Friday from 6:00 –– 8:00 p.m.
