Erma Linette Winborne

 
ERMA LINETTE WINBORNE 
 
 

SUFFOLK - Erma Linette Winborne of the 2300 block of Whaleyville Blvd., Suffolk, entered into eternal rest and peace on September 17, 2009 at Sentara Obici Hospital. A native of Nansemond County, she was daughter of the late Robert Frank and Annie Maude Rodgers Holland and the widow of James C. Winborne, Sr..

Mrs. Winborne retired as a Cafeteria Manager for the Suffolk Public School System. She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church where she was a member of the Fellowship Club and Hospitality Committee.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, James C. Winborne, Jr. and his wife, Willetha D. Winborne of Citrus Spring, FL; grandson, James C. Winborne, III of West Palm Beach, FL and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Keidre Winborne.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at Gethsemane Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Ernest Simmons. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
