Earnest Ray Stallings, 56 of 1378 Willeyton Road, Gates, NC died Friday, November 13, 2009 at Roanoke-Chowan Hospital in Ahoskie, NC. He was a native of Nansemond County and the son of the late Loden H. Stallings and Almira H. Stallings. 

He was a former employee of Addison Food.

He leaves to cherish his memory one daughter, Cherteria Morgan of Alabama; two sons, Earnest Burrus, Jr. and Antonia Ray Stallings of Watersbury, Ct; three grandchildren; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral will be held 12:00 p.m., Thursday, November 19, 2009 at St. Stephen Holiness Church, 6513 Whaleyville Blvd., Suffolk. Interment will be in Walton Grove A.M.E. Church Cemetery in Sunbury, NC. Crocker Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
