Felton was a graduate of Booker T. Washington of Suffolk, Virginia. He was an active member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church where he participated in the Men's Club and was very fond of the Youth Organizations. After over 30 years of dedicated service, Felton retired from Colonial Stores as a truck driver. He received numerous distinctive Safety Awards of Recognition for his commitment to excellence towards workplace safety and safety compliance. Felton was also a devoted member and global advocate of the Mending Heart Association.
He leaves to cherish his memories: three sons, Felton (Phala) Milteer Jr., Maurice (Betty) Milteer, all of Suffolk, and Andre' (Barbara) Milteer of Noahville, TX.; two brothers, Curtis (Sarah) Milteer and Eugene (Doretha) Milteer, all of Suffolk; one sister, Lennis Collins of Suffolk; one brother in-law, Vernon (Alice) Wright of NY; one sister in-law, Elsie Milteer; two aunts- in-law, Mable Riddick of Suffolk and Clara Suzy of NY; 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 17 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, and devoted friend, Erma Ferebee.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church, officiated by The Rev. Fr. Joseph N. Green, Jr. Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
