Suffolk - Georgia Anna Spencer, 91 of Suffolk died Friday, January 23, 2009 at Nansemond Pointe Rehabilitation Health Center. She was a native of Norfolk, VA and the daughter of the late Samuel and Annie L. Morris. She was also predeceased by her husband, Willie Spencer.

She retired from the City of Norfolk as a Dietary Aide. She attended the Historic Queen Street Baptist Church in Norfolk, VA. She was affiliated with the Suffolk Senior Services Center.

She is survived by her daughter, Gayle Spencer-Ridley of Suffolk; one son, William Lawrence Spencer (Zelma) of Norfolk, VA; three grandchildren, Ambritt Spencer, Angela Spencer Carter, Justin Ridley; one great grandchild, Markeshia Spencer; and other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held 12:00 noon, Saturday, January 31, 2009 at the Historic Queen Street Baptist Church, 413 East Brambleton Avenue, Norfolk with Dr. Glen E. Porter, Sr. officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Nansemond-Suffolk Cemetery. The family will be at 125 Kings Point Drive, Suffolk . Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. is handling the arrangements.
