SUFFOLK – George Clavis Twine, 71, a resident of 3536 Nansemond Parkway, Suffolk, and a native of North Carolina, entered into eternal rest June 28, 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Willie and Neppie Twine.
Mr. Twine was an Army veteran and was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard after 22 years of service as a welder.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Mary L. Twine; one daughter, Deborah Mosley (James) of Rocky Mount, NC; three sons, George Gregory Twine of Denver, Colorado, Darrell White of Suffolk, and Percy Askew of Norfolk; one sister, Juanita Twine of Portsmouth; one brother, Hilbert Twine of Portsmouth; seven grandchildren; three sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at Crocker Funeral Home, officiated by Bishop Dwight Whitfield. Interment will be in the Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery.
