George T. Felton of 340 Hazelton Road, Gates, NC died Monday, February 23, 2009 at Britthaven of Edenton, Edenton, NC. He was a native of Gates, NC and son of the late James and Sarah Williams Felton.

He leaves to cherish his memory and mourn their loss two loving sisters, Mary Hatcher and Eva Brewer of Norfolk, VA; one loving nephew and caretaker Rev. Stanley Wiggins (Mary); three other nephews, Rev. David Wiggins (Bernice) of Gates, NC, Jeffro Felton (Martha) of Hernando, MS and Ambros Felton of New Brunswick, NJ; ten nieces, Rev. Sarah Faltz of Norfolk, VA, Eunice Bennett (Winston) of Portsmouth, Ruth Mitchell and Bishop Mavis Goodman (Walter) of Suffolk, Eva Goodman of Gates, NC, Evelyn Goode (Roy) of Greensboro, NC, Clarine Zachery (James) of Chesapeake, VA, Ella Felton of Williamston, NC, Lois Felton of New Brunswick, NJ, Edith Britton of South Boston, VA, Eva Williams of Nixion, NJ; and many great and great great nephews and nieces, cousins and friends.

The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2009 at New Piney Wood Chapel in Drum Hill, NC officiated by Rev. Richard Curry. Interment will be in God Garden Cemetery. Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. is handling the arrangements.
