WINDSOR - Hilda Mae Edwards, 76, of 18236 Sandy Ridge Drive, Windsor, went home to be with the Lord on February 16, 2008 at Sentara Nursing Center, Hampton. She was a native of Nansemond County and was the daughter of the late Linwood and Lucy Warren Edwards. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Ella Thomas and Ruth Delois Edwards and two brothers, Linwood Edwards, Jr. And Floyd Warren.

Mrs. Edwards retired as a Nurse’s Aid at South Port Manor Health Care Center. She was a former member of Friendship Church of God In Christ.

Surviving to cherish her memory are two daughters, Barbara Brown (Bernard) of Windsor and Margina Randall (Preston) of Baltimore, MD; one sister, Alice Lee Edwards of Newport News; one brother, Charlie B. Edwards (Elizabeth) of Smithfield; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at Christian Home Baptist Church, 2123 Longview Drive, Windsor, by The Rev. Wendell Waller. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Newport News. Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
