Jean Celestine Butler Palmer, 78 died Tuesday, March 2, 1010 in her home. She was born March 1, 1932 to the late William Butler and Hattie Mae Butler Blount. She was predeceased by her husband, William Edward Palmer, Sr.; her son, Timothy McCoy Palmer, Sr.; her sister, Hattie Verice Clarke.
Survivors include her daughter, Bettie Jean Trent (Michael); two sons, William E. Palmer (Mallisia) and James T. Palmer (Carolyn) and her devoted daughter-in-law, Rene. She leaves behind nine cherished grandchildren, Shawneeque, Tyree, Ericka, Malikah, Jamaine, Hakeem, Timothy, Jr., Tevin, and Quatela; her sisters, Mary Willis of Baltimore, MD and Catherine Thorne (Richard); 14 great grandchildren and a host of very dear friends and loving relatives.
A funeral will be held 2:30 p.m., Sunday, March 7, 2010 in Bethlehem Christian Church officiated by Rev. Emmanuel Myrick. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence located at 1227 Lake Kennedy Drive, Suffolk. The family will receive friends at Crocker Funeral Home on Saturday, March 6, 2010 from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.
