Mrs. Sevella Hall Wilson

LULA MAY CARY 

   

CHESAPEAKE – Lula Mae Cary, 84, formerly of 913 Partridge Ave, Chesapeake, passed away September 25, 2008 at Nansemond Pointe Rehabilitation & Health Care Center.  She was a native of Southampton and daughter of the late Johnnie and Marie Hines Hux and the widow of Clarence Cary.

 Mrs. Cary retired as a custodian for the Norfolk City School Syatem.  She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, Norfolk.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her sisters, Mable Hucks of New York, NY, Claudia Hucks  and Gladys Uzzle (George), both of Ivor; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 27, 2008 at New Branch Baptist Church, 8140 Proctors Bridge Road, Ivor, officiated by the Rev. Frank Aikens.  Interment will be in the  Davis Family Cemetery.  The family will be at the home of Claudia Hucks, 34048 General Mahone Blvd., Ivor.  Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
