SUFFOLK - Laura Tillery Craig, 79, of 243 Locust Street, Suffolk, passed away January 17, 2008 at Sentara Obici Hospital. A native of Nansemond County, she was daughter of the late Joseph and Bessie Sykes Tillery and the widow of Thomas L. Craig. She was preceded in death by her sister, Clare Tillery and three brothers, Joseph Tillery, Jr., Doc Tillery, and Charles Tillery.

She was retired from Goldkist Peanut Company and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Surviving to cherish her memory are four daughters, Gloria Lawrence (Calvin) of Chesapeake, Cornelia Henderson of Jacksonville, FL, Laura Swan (Makum), and Sarita Craig of Suffolk; five sons, Thomas L. Craig, Jr., Timothy Craig, Elmer Craig, Jerry Craig, all of Suffolk, and Terry Craig of Portsmouth; 18 grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at at Lakeview Missionary Baptist Church by Dr. John Jones, Pastor. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
