Suffolk - Mamie Elsie Coston, 83 of 5633 Holy Neck Road, Suffolk died Monday, April 20, 2009 in Southampton Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Nansemond County and the daughter of the late Leroy and Martha “Emma” Coston.

She retired as a Domestic Worker. She was a member of Corinth Chapel United Church of Christ where she was a member of its Senior Choir, Usher Board and Women’s Fellowship. 

She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Linwood M. Coston; devoted nieces, Deborah Gaine of Greensville, NC and Cheryl Sanford of Hampton, VA; cousins and a host of friends.

 

A funeral will be held 12:00 noon Saturday, April 25, 2009 at Corinth Chapel United Church of Christ, 7945 Corinth Chapel Road, Suffolk, officiated by Rev. John T. Myer. Interment will be in Corinth Chapel Church Cemetery. Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. is handling the arrangements.
