Suffolk - Mrs. Mamie Jordan, 3824 Nansemond Parkway Suffolk, entered into eternal rest and peace on August 8, 2008 at Nansemond Pointe Rehabilitation Health Care, Suffolk, VA. She was a native of Nansemond County and the daughter of the late Lydia Jordan and John Jordan. She was predeceased by two sons, Howard Washington and Raymond Jordan; three sisters and four brothers.
She was a member of Union Baptist Church Shoulder Hill Road, Suffolk, VA, where she was a member of the Usher Board #2 and the Busy Bee Flower Club. Surviving to cherish her memory, one daughter, Pearl Fenner of Suffolk; two sons, Elder George Fenner (Mable) of Zuni, VA; Curtis Lee Fenner (Valerie) of Hempstead, NY; fourteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Colette Jordan of New York, NY; special friends, James and Doris Wright; and host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral will be held at Union Baptist Church, Wednesday 13, 2008, by Bishop C. V. Russell, Sr. Interment will be at Carver Memorial Cemetery. Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge.
