SUFFOLK - Martha Jane Langston of 2411 East Washington Street, Suffolk, passed away April 13, 2008 at her residence. She was born in Kelford, NC to the late Johnnie and Mennie Starks. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Langston her son, Louis Green, two sisters, Annie Wilkins Starks and Essie Beasley; three brothers, Johnnie, Witty, and Eddie Starks.

She was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard and also worked part-time as a Nurse’s aide.

She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Green of Haggerstown, MD; one son, Larry Green of Suffolk; one devoted nephew Rufus Langston (Janet) of Suffolk; eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; caretaker, Debbie Hawk; two brothers-in-law, Rev. Redell Langston (Mollie) and Raymond Langston (Magdeline); two sisters-in-law, Flossie Eure and Mary Lou Langston.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 17, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Crocker Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
