Maudie Mae Bazemore, 78 of Woodbridge, VA entered eternal rest on Monday, September 15, 2008 after a long illness. A native of Suffolk, VA, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Dennie Bazemore. She was preceded in death by her son, Johnny Bazemore, Sr; and siblings Richard White, Jessie L. Davis, Ethel White, Marie Reese, James Bazemore, and Joseph White.

She is survived by her daughter, Delores Baker of Woodbridge, VA; foster daughter Betty Daughtrey (Karl) of Hampton, VA; grandchildren, Shirian Holland (Lukie) of Upper Marlboro, MD; Sean Scott of Baltimore, MD; Stephan Scott (Vanessa) of Woodbridge VA; Johnny Bazemore, Jr. and April Copeland of Washington, DC; siblings Hugh Bazemore of Fort Washington, MD; Rosella Hollman and Alberta Ricks(Richard) of Portsmouth, VA and Virginia Sykes of New York; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Services will be held Saturday, September 20, 2008 at Metropolitan Baptist Church, Suffolk, VA at 12:00 pm. Viewing will be held from 10 am to 12:00 pm at the church. Crocker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
