Mary M. Lewter of 706 Factory Street, Suffolk died Monday, March 23, 2009 in Sentara Obici Hospital. She was a native of Nansemond County and the daughter of the late Elma Crumble. She is also predeceased by her husband, Clyde Wilson Lewter, Sr.

She was formerly employed as a Companion Nurse with Home Health Care.

She is survived by three sons, Marvin Lewter, Thomas Wendell Lewter (Mary) and Clyde Lewter, Jr. (Lessie) all of Suffolk; ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; cousins, other relatives and many friends.

A funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 29, 2009 at Greater Sweet Beulah Pentecostal Holiness Church officiated by Bishop Madison G. Copeland. Interment will be in Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery. Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. is handling the arrangements.
