SUFFOLK - Margaret M. Young of 1413 Sierra Drive, passed over into eternal rest on March 10, 2008 at Sentara Heart Hospital, Norfolk. She was born to Chester and Sarah M. Goodman in Nansemond County on June 10, 1939. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Chester Goodman, Jr.

She was employed with Pond Brothers Peanut Company until her health failed. She was a member of Saint Paul RZUA Church where she served as President of the Mothers Board and was involved in several auxiliaries of the church.

Margaret Young is survived by her husband of 52 years, George W. Young; a son, George W. Young, Jr. (Barbara); two daughters, Loretta C. Young of Capitol Heights, MD and Gwendolyn D. Williams (Clyde- deceased); four grandchildren, La Toya Lassiter (Daniel), Clyde, LaShica and Desiree; one great granddaughter, Kamryn. She is also survived by four sisters, Mary Goodman, Shirley Jones (Clifton), Brenda Jones (Rallie), and Debra Benton (Gerald); two brothers, Charlie Goodman (Drucilla) and Vernon Goodman (Eva). She will also be missed by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Paul RZUA Church with Dr. Edward P. Foreman, Officiating. Crocker Funeral Home is in charge.
