MARIO THOMAS JONES

 

 

SUFFOLK - Mario Thomas Jones, 42, died February 10, 2008 at Sentara Obici Hospital. He was a Suffolk native and was the son of Beatrice L. Porter and the late James N. Porter, Jr.

He was a graduate of Suffolk High School and was formerly employed by the City of Suffolk. He was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’’s Witnesses.

Mario is survived by his mother, Beatrice L. Porter of Suffolk; two sisters, Lelia Patterson (Richard) and Norma Carrol (Robert) of Suffolk; two brothers, James N. Porter, III (Sandy) of Smithfield and Marvin Jones (Daisy) of Suffolk; two half-sisters, Denise Perdue and Jean Williams, both of Maryland; two half-brothers, Franke Eason of Maryland and Percel Eason of Suffolk; aunts, Vivian Evans (Charlie) of Portsmouth and Lucille Alexander; uncles, Marshal Wellons (Delores) of Maryland and Joseph Wellons of Suffolk; a special loved one, "Whitney"; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2008 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’’s Witnesses. Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
