Neva Mullen Flood

NEVA MULLEN FLOOD  

   
SUFFOLK – Neva Mullen Flood of 116 Sumner Street, Suffolk, passed away September 9, 2008, in the comfort of her home. A native of Nansemond County, she was the daughter of the late Walter Clyde and Sarah Victoria Mullen and the widow of Charlton Flood, Sr.

Mrs. Flood had served as musician for First Baptist Church Orlando and Diamond Grove Baptist Church. She was a faithful and lifetime member of Mineral Spring Baptist Church and a former member of the Golden Age Club of the church. She was also a past member of the Holland Chapter #162 of the Order of Eastern Star, P.H.A.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her son and his wife, Charlton and Marion D. Flood of Suffolk; brother, John Clyde Mullen of Baltimore. MD; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 13, 2008 at Mineral Spring Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Charlie W. Poulson, Jr. Interment will be in the Langston Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at Crocker Funeral Home.
