AUSTIN J. SKINNER
SUFFOLK - Austin J. Skinner, 54, of 1107 Truman Rd., Suffolk, went home to be with the Lord, November 6, 2007 at MCV Hospital, Richmond. He was a native ofNansemond County, Va and the son of Mamie Skinner and the late David Hodges.Mr. Skinner attended John F. Kennedy High School.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Mamie Skinner, 2 daughters, Chacarla Kelly (Michael) and Opeaya Grant all of Suffolk. 2 sons, Marcus D. Skinner (Carolinia) of Denver, Co. and Andre L. Skinner (Becky) of Suffolk, Va.; 1 step-son, Kevin Grant of Suffolk, Va.; 2 sisters, Marie Andrews and Mary Copeland (Larry) both of Suffolk, Va.; 1 brother, George Skinner of Philadelphia, Pa., 16 grandchildren, 3 nieces, Pamela Reynolds (Marvin), Arnetra Chapman and Angela Skinner, 1 nephew, George Skinner, Jr.,aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral Services will be held in Lakeview Missionary Baptist Church, Suffolk with Dr. John E. Jones, Tuesday, November 13,2007 at 12:00 noon. Interment will be held in Albert G. Horton Veteran Memorial Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m. Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
