JOHN EDWARD WALLACE, JR.

SUFFOLK - John Edward Wallace, Jr., 66, of the 300 block of Cedar Street, Suffolk, passed away on November 15, 2007 at Sentara Obici Hospital. He was a native of Wilmington, NC and was son of the late John E. Wallace, Sr. and Mary Vaughan.

Mr. Wallace was retired from the Norfolk Naval Supply Center. He was a member of Lakeview Missionary Baptist Church.

He leaves to cherish precious memories: his wife, Rosalyn Wallace; one daughter, Lataveius Wallace of Suffolk; one step-daughter, Tomeka Towler and her husband Cpt. Dwight Towler of Savannah, GA; three sons, John A. Wallace and his wife Gloria, Melvin Wallace, and Terry Wallace, all of Suffolk; one sister, Shandlyn Copeland of St. Louis, MO; one brother, Gilbert Wallace and his wife Rosalyn of Wilmington, NC; several grandchildren; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at Lakeview Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. Dr. John E. Jones. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
