Richard Donald Brown, Jr.

RICHARD DONALD BROWN, JR. 

   

SUFFOLK - God in his infinite wisdom, who’s too wise to make a mistake, opened his arms on Wednesday, November 12, 2008, to welcome Richard Donald Brown, Jr. home from labor to eternal rest. He was born in Suffolk on October 20, 1975 to Richard Donald Brown, Sr. and the late Juanita Deloatch-Brown.

Richard was a 1993 graduate of Nansemond River High School where he played football. He received his Associates degree from Paul D. Camp Community College and was a Machine Operator at G & R Metal, Hampton for two years. He was a member of Vision Ministries where he was a Security Officer, usher, and member of the Men’’s Fellowship.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife, Anita R. Brown; two sons, Daiquan Malik Rabey and Thailent Jujuan Brown; father, Richard Donald Brown, Sr. (Margie); one step-sister, Belissa Wiggins-Thomas; two step-brothers, Brian Wiggins and Marcus Wiggins; aunts, Sallie Cooper, Vivian White (Vernon), Fannie Pruden (Paul), Etta Skinner, and Margaret Rodgers; uncles, James Lee Brown, John W. Deloatch and Joseph Deloatch; in-laws, Thomas and Maggie Gay, Herbert Harrell and Helen Rabey; and other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 17, 2008 at New Mount Joy Food for Living Ministries, Inc., officiated by the Rev. Dr. V. T. Chambers. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
