SUFFOLK – Roy Haskins (June Cat), 73, of 804 W. Constance Road, died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008 in Sentara Obici Hospital. He was the son of the late Roy and Ruth Haskins and a native of Suffolk, VA. He was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Haskins (ED), and brother, Roosevelt Haskins (Buddy).

He leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Chrystal Haskins of Brooklyn, NY; two daughters, Linda Haskins- Clinton (Morris) of Brooklyn, NY, and Tara Lynn Smith of Portsmouth, VA; three sons, Roy L. Haskins Jr. (Joan) of Suffolk, VA, Eugene C. Haskins (Delores) of Brooklyn, NY, and Larry M. Haskins (Regina Favors) of Stockbridge, GA; twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary L. Coates of NY, and Mildred D. Riddick of Suffolk, VA; along with nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The family extends a special thanks to the staff of Sentara Obici Hospital and Nansemond Point Rehabilitation & Health Care Center for their assistance.

The funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, Sept 15, 2008 at Bethlehem Christian Church, 312 Bute Street, Suffolk, VA. Pastor Emanuel Myrick Jr., will be officiating the service. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive family and friends at 102 E. Pinner St. as well as 314 Bullock St., Suffolk, VA. Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
