SUFFOLK - Thelbert "Ace" C. Reid, Jr.,56, of the 800 block of Haskins Drive, was called home to be with the Lord on February 14, 2008. He was the son of the late Thelbert C. Reid, Sr. and Marguerite Reid.

He was a graduate of Southwestern High School and attended Norfolk State University. He was a retired Supervisor for Cost Plus.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Mildred C. Reid; three daughters, Renee Parker, Inez Hall, and Lisa Cooper, all of Suffolk; three sons, Gregg A. Reid and his wife, Pamela of Chesapeake, Cory Cooper, and Chris Cooper, both of Suffolk; three sisters, Joan Cutler, Teresa Smith of Suffolk, and Cynthia Reid of Long Island, NY; one brother, David Reid; twelve grandchildren; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Monday, February 18, 2008 at Oak Grove Baptist Church, 2635 East Washington Street, Suffolk, by Dr. Anthony Copeland. Interment will be in Corinth Chapel UCC Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church at 10:30 am. The family will be at the residence, 859 Haskins Drive and will assemble there at 11:00 a.m. for the procession to the church. Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
