Tammey Tarrell Norman Simpson departed this life on Friday, January 23, 2009 in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. She was a native of Suffolk and the daughter of Joseph Lee Moody and Mary Louise Norman. 

Tammey attended John F. Kennedy High School. She was actively involved with children in the Hoffler Apartment Complex and was a mentor to many of them.

Besides her parents and Stepfather, Leon I Parker, III, she leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Albert Lee Simpson of Bronx, New York; her children, Natasha Norman, Shawneequa Norman, Cameron Norman, Tony Butts all of Suffolk; granddaughter, Alasia Norman; a sister, Tiffany Lynette Norman-Pope (Floyd Lamar Pope) of Suffolk; four brothers, Preston Lee Norman (Kersia Woodson-Norman), Dominic Rashun Norman, Brandon Centel Norman, Christopher Montreal Norman, a stepbrother, Derek Tyrone Burrus all of Suffolk; an uncle, Willie Lee Norman; and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends.
