SUFFOLK - Thelma Young, 93,  of the 1400 block of Blythewood Lane, Suffolk, answered the Master's call on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at Sentara Obici Hospital.  She was a native of Portsmouth and daughter of the late Rebecca Jacobs and the widow of James Young.

Mrs. Young was a former resident of Norfolk and was retired from Domestic work.  She was a member of Unity Lutheran Church, Norfolk.

She is survived by a devoted granddaughter, Carolyn Bemberry of Suffolk with home she made her home; her other grandchildren and great grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 7, 2008 at Unity Lutheran Church, 2801 East Princess Anne Road, Norfolk, and will be officiated by The Rev. Thomas Saddler. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Norfolk. Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
