Warren Calvin Ricks, 54, of the 1300 block of East Longview Drive, Woodbridge, passed away Friday, August 29, 2008. He was a native of Isle of Wight County and was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Ricks. Mr. Ricks was a graduate of Windsor High School and was employed as a Truck Driver by Little John’’s Trucking Company, Woodbridge.

He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church of Woodbridge and the Men’s Choir and Bible Study Program. He leaves to mourn and cherish his memory, his mother, Julia Hazel Duck Ricks; his daughters, Katina Evans Gallien of Williamsburg and Kisha Bowers of Windsor; grandchildren, Sunnidae Gallien and True Gallien; stepdaughter, Bridgette Clowney of Kannapolis, NC; stepson, Leroy Clowney, III of Charlotte, NC; step-grandchildren, Mark Clayton, Jr. and Myan Clayton; and other relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be held Monday, September 1, 2008 at Chapel Grove United Church of Christ, Windsor. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will be at the homes of Samuel Duck and Betty Ashburn in Windsor. Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
