WILLIAM E. PALMER, SR.
   

SUFFOLK - William E. "Lil Buddy" Palmer, Sr., 76, of 3028 Pruden Blvd., departed to his heavenly home on Saturday, November 17. 2007. He was a native of Nansemond County and the son of the late William Thomas and Bertha Palmer. He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy McCoy Palmer, Sr.

"Lil Buddy", as he was affectionately known, retired from Norfolk Shipbuilding and Drydock Company.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Jean C. Palmer; his sons, William E. "Billy" Palmer, Jr. (Mallisia) and James T. Palmer (Carolyn); his daughter, Bettie Jean Trent-Palmer, all of whom live in Suffolk, Va.; his son-in-law and good friend, Daniel Muntasir of Hampton, Va.; his daughter-in-law, Renéé Palmer of Portsmouth, Va.; Nine grandchildren: Shawneeque Richardson , "Tyree" Palmer, Erica Palmer, Malikah Trent, Jamaine Palmer, Hakeem Trent, Timothy Palmer, Jr., Quatela Palmer and Tevin Palmer; Twelve great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 24, 2007 at 11:00 a.m.at Little Mount Zion Baptist Church, 3288 Pruden Blvd., Suffolk. Interment will be in Little Mt. Zion Church Cemetery on Kings Fork Rd. A wake will be held Friday from 7p.m.- 8p.m. in Crocker Funeral Home.
