SUFFOLK — Willie Fitzgerald Howell, Sr., 42, of 5772 Godwin Blvd., Suffolk, passed away July 19, 2008. He attended Suffolk High School and was employed by the Suffolk City School Board. He was a member of Freedom Faith Walk Gospel Fellowship Center.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his devoted wife, Carlese Howell of Suffolk; his children, Quatisha Howell, Chasity Howell, and Willie Howell, Jr., all of Suffolk; his parents, Willie Arthur Howell of Gates, NC and Maybell W. Howell of Suffolk; two sisters, Aretha Howell and Karen Howell of Suffolk; three brothers, Donald Howell (Bonnie) of Surry, Darren Howell (Beverly) and Marvin Howell of Suffolk; a stepsister, Sharday Howell; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 12:00 noon Friday, July 25, 2008 at New Mount Joy Food for Living Ministries, Inc. and will be conducted by Pastor Virginia Harris. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. The family will be at 1459 Lipton Circle, Suffolk. Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
