WEBSTER LEON COLBERT 

 

SUFFOLK – Webster Leon "Wesley" Colbert, 54, of 326 Goodman Street, Suffolk, passed away June 8, 2008 at Sentara Obici Hospital. He was born in Southampton County and was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ruth Blow Colbert and sister, Alberta Britt.

He attended John F. Kennedy High School, Suffolk and was employed as a truck driver for Henry Truck Company. He was a member of Sixth Street Baptist Church where he was a dedicated member of the Male Chorus, Inspirational Choir, was a Sunday School teacher and proud member of the Hospitality Ministry and Men’s Ministry.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife Sandra Colbert; son, Aron L. Colbert and his wife, Keisha and son, Varon L. Colbert of Suffolk; two aunts, Daisy Artis of New York and Alma Eley of Norfolk; two special friends, Pastor J. B. Williams and Reggie Riddick, and nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, June 14, 2008 at Sixth Street Baptist Church by The Reverend Dr. J. B. Williams. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. The family will be at 1241 White Marsh Road. Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
