Mr. Edwards was a graduate of East Suffolk High School Class of 1956. He was an Army veteran and was formerly employed by the Newport News Shipbuilding Company and was a retired Bus Driver for the Suffolk Public School System and Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia. He was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church, Buckhorn, and was a former Church Clerk.
He leaves a legacy of love and precious memories to his wife, Ruth E. Edwards; his daughter, Wendy Bullock of Richmond; granddaughters, Kiristie Bullock and Jasmine Bullock; brother, Rudolph Edwards, Sr. and his wife Shirley of Suffolk and nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at Piney Grove Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Larry Parker. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Crocker Funeral Home and at the residence at all other times.
