Walter Victor Perry, 74, of 288 Wexford Dr. West, Suffolk, passed away December 20, 2007 atNansemond Pointe Rehabilitation & Health Care Center. He was a native of Powellsville, N.C. and the son of the late Mary Alice and Arthur Perry. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Daye; two sisters, Texie Perry and Maggie Perry; three brothers, Randolph Perry, Joe Perry and Clyde Perry.

Mr. Perry was employed at Planters Peanut Co. and retired on April 1, 1992 after 36 years of service.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Gwendolyn Perry; one son, Rev. Dr. James Anderson (Isalene D.); one brother, Lonnie Perry (Mildred) all of Suffolk, Va.; one sister-in-law, Gloria Whitfield; two brothers-in-law, Lloyd Whitfield and Daniel Whitfield; twenty grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, December 24, 2007 at Crocker Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Parker, Officiating. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 288 Wexford Drive West, Suffolk. Crocker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
