CHESAPEAKE – Yolanda L. Bass-Little of the 3300 block of Bangor Crescent East, Chesapeake, entered into eternal rest and peace June 9, 2008 at DePaul Medical Center, Norfolk. She was born February 2, 1969 in Baltimore, Maryland.
Yolanda received a Certificate in Nursing from CDI Institute; an Associates of Science degree from Tidewater Community College; and received her Bachelor of Science degree from Old Dominion University with a Major in Psychology and a Minor in Social Work and Human Services. She was employed by the Department of Defense as an Office Automation Assistant. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Suffolk.
Treasured memories of her will always be in the hearts of her devoted husband, Donald Dion Little; her loving children, Carmiel Jukes of Baltimore, MD and Breona Little of Chesapeake; her parents, Raymond Ellsworth Bass, Sr. and Linda Beatrice Bass of Baltimore; her sisters, Tina Louise Bass, Valencia Hepburn (LeRoy), Shelly Bass, and Renorta Bass, all of Baltimore; her brother, Raymond Bass, Jr. (Karen) of Baltimore; and godmother, Martha Scott-Gordon of Suffolk. Fond memories will also be treasured by her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
A service to celebrate her life and homegoing will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, June 14, 2008 at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 3621 Nansemond Parkway, Suffolk, and will be officiated by The Reverend Nathaniel Scates, Sr. Interment will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
