William Elmo Martin, Jr.

March 19, 1960 - February 6, 2023

William Martin, Jr. (JR), formerly of Alexandria, VA, and recently of Suffolk, VA passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on Monday, February 6, 2023. JR was the beloved son of the late William E. and Eleanor L. Martin.

JR is survived by his loving children, Drukevia Biggs, Cashawn Sydnor, Willie Brim, Aisha Wellington, LaToya Martin, Aaron Gray, Amber Agee, Alexis Agee, Chasiti Jackson, Jade Kirkland and Brandon Johnson as well as eighteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He also leaves his sisters, Jane M. Wilson (Reginald), Brenda (Casey) M. King (Brennan), Jacqueline D. Martin, former wife, Cynthia A. Martin, seven aunts, eleven uncles, dear companion Ann Allmond, along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and lifelong friends to cherish his memories. He was preceded in death by his late brother Rodney A. Martin. 

A  viewing will be held 12-5 p.m. Sunday, February 19, 2023 at the funeral home. A celebration of life will be held noon, Monday, February 20, 2023 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
